Maybe next time, Maryland Bacon Festival.

Last Saturday was the first Maryland Bacon Festival. There was much anticipation and excitement because who doesn’t love bacon? This festival promised live music, creative samples from each food truck and vendor, and bacon infused cocktails. Tickets costed $25.00 minimum.

The organizers of this festival were not prepared for the bacon lovers of Maryland and many festival goers left hungry and angry (The Festival organizers recognized their failure and publicly apologized on their Facebook page). Vendors ran out of bacon and booze within the first 2 hours, lines were horrendously long and took about an hour to finally order food. All in all, those of us who attended did not get what we paid for.

After 4 hours, the lines finally died down and I was able to get a bacon funnel cake. The little food that I was able to get was delicious. Unfortunately, not everyone was able…
