107 Year Old Vet Credits Whiskey for Long Life

A recent article from the LA Times discusses World War II Veteran, Richard Overton’s claim that 12 cigars a day and some whiskey in his coffee every morning is the key to his age of 107. He is believed to be the oldest living Veteran in the US and this past Veteran’s Day he spent the day with President Obama.american-flag-wallpaper

Overton, 107, went to D.C. for breakfast with the president and vice president, then attended a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.

It’s always nice reading such heart warming stories about Veterans. Their hard work and love for our country is what keeps us free today. So thank you to all past, present and future Veterans of the United States.
